Closed Unassigned: Adding a new connection cause an exception [11805]

I right click the top item and choose "Connect .. SQL Compact 4.0..."
I am immediately presented with an error dialog(attached).

Strangely it mentions "SQL Anywhere 12" and I have no idea why that one would be involved when working with SQL Server Compact.
